CHARBEARS

I have been making bears for approximately twenty years.  A friend who owned a shop that sold soft sculptures invited me to come and make a teddy bear, I was reluctant at first.  However, after making my first bear, I was hooked.  My teacher at the time always said that the expression on a bear's face is especially important, so I try to achieve the best expression possible.  I have been nominated for several Golden Teddy awards and have also received several TOBY Industry Choice awards.  

MAGGIE

Maggie is 13" tall and made from Schulte mohair.  She has wool felt paw pads which have been sculpted and shaded.  She is five way jointed, and I have wired her arms to give her more pose-ability.  She has black glass eyes with eyelids, and her nose is hand embroidered.  I have needle and scissor sculpted her face and added a bit of shading.  She is stuffed with poly fiberfill and has a pouch of bb's in her tummy for a little added weight.  She is wearing a vintage blue doll dress with a lace insert and has a ribbon and lace bow on her head.  The doll stand is included.  $295 plus shipping.

LILA

Lila is 18" tall if she were standing and is made out of the most scrumptious Schulte mohair in a very pale lilac.  She is five way jointed, and has wool felt paw pads which have been sculpted and shaded.  She has hand blown black glass eyes with eyelids to give her more expression.  Her nose is hand embroidered, and I have needle and scissor sculpted her face and added a bit of color to enhance her features.  She is stuffed with poly fiberfill and has a pouch of bb's in her tummy for a little added weight.  She wears a dress I bought quite some time ago that was hand made and features lots of ribbon and lace.  She wears a coronet of white flowers on her head.  $425 plus shipping.

CASEY

Casey is 11" tall when standing and is made out of a reddish tan Schulte mohair.  He is five way jointed with wire in his arms for more pose-ability,  He has wool felt paw pads which have been sculpted and shaded.  He is stuffed with poly fiberfill and has a pouch of bb's in his tummy to give him some weight,  He has black glass eyes with eyelids, and his nose is hand embroidered.  His face is needle and scissor sculpted with a touch of color added to enhance his features.  He wears a pair of denim overalls with "Love Bear" embroidered in red and has a checked bandana around his neck.  $185 plus shipping.

SEBASTIAN

Sebastian is 14" tall when standing and is made out of a hand-dyed mohair which has areas of light and dark turquoise.  He has wool felt paw pads which have been sculpted and shaded, and his arms have been wired for more pose-ability.  He has black glass eyes with eyelids, and his nose has been hand embroidered.  He is stuffed with poly fiberfill with a pouch of bb's in his tummy for a little added weight.  I have needle and scissor sculpted his face and added a bit of color to enhance his features.  He also has a peek-a-boo mouth.  $295 plus shipping.

CANDY

Candy is 11" tall when standing and is made out of the softest faux fur in a light creamy beige.  She is five way jointed with wire in her arms for more pose-ability.  She has wool felt paw pads which have been sculpted and shaded.  She has black glass eyes with eyelids, and her nose has been hand embroidered.  I have needle and scissor sculpted her face and added a touch of color to enhance her features.  She is stuffed with poly fiberfill with a pouch of bb's in her tummy for a little added weight.  $195 plus shipping.

GEOFF

Geoff is a big boy at 20" standing.  He is made out of two different types of Schulte mohair in a white and a lavender blue.  He is five way jointed with wire in his arms for more pose-ability.  He is stuffed with poly fiberfill and has a pouch of bb's in his tummy for a little added weight.  His paw pads are wool felt and have been sculpted and shaded.  He has hand painted glass eyes, which are very hard to see in these photos.  I tried to get a better shot of them with no success.  I have given him eyelids and done a little bit of needle felting around them.  His nose is hand embroidered.  I have needle and scissor sculpted his face and added a bit of color to enhance his features.  He also has a tiny needle felted peek-a-boo mouth.  He wears a double ruffled collar which shows up more blue in the photos, but which is actually much closer to the color of his arms and legs when you see him in person.  $425 plus shipping.

CHIP

Chip is 11" tall when standing and is made of Schulte mohair.  He is five way jointed and has his arms wired for more pose-ability.  He is stuffed with poly fiberfill with a pouch of bb's in his tummy for a little added weight.  He has wool felt paw pads which have been sculpted and shaded, and his nose is hand embroidered.  He has black glass eyes with eyelids.  His face has been needle and scissor sculpted with a touch of color added to enhance his features.  I also gave him a tiny, pink needle felted peek-a-boo tongue.  He wears a orange and dark pink checked ruffled collar and has a lock and key handing around his neck.  $185 plus shipping.
